We are happy to announce the following new features in Mach1.
Auto-Remember Shipping Notes
When creating a Purchase Order or Requisition in Mach1, the Shipping notes field is often used for specific addresses or instructions for a job site. For projects with a large number of purchase orders, users often find themselves having to duplicate the same instructions over and over. We decided to fix this.
Next to the Shipping Notes field in Mach1, you will now notice a small magnifying glass. Clicking this icon will pull up all the different Shipping Notes you have previously added to that project and allow you to select one of those. This will not only save you time but reduce data entry errors along the way.
New Cost Report: What’s been billed?
A new Cost/Billing Export (Reporting→Cost/Billing Exports) has been added. This export, entitled “What’s been billed?” will allow you to export all items for a client/project that have been put on an invoice, including any manual or lump-sum invoices created.
Project Journal: Importing of line items
The project ledger is proving to be a great tool in solving a variety of common cost issues that other systems can’t seem to get right, including burden tracking, PTO cost allocation, and subcontractor burned hours. Stay tuned for an upcoming email regarding specific use cases on the Project ledger.
In the meantime, you can now import your Journal entries straight from an Excel file. This allows you to not only use Excel for your data entry but gives you the ability to export from external systems or providers such as payroll, billing, time clocks, or vendor portals.
A sample file has been attached.
As always, please reach out to support@gcsworks.com if you have any questions on any of the new features at any time.
